Raw material report of Rutin, Quercetin, L-Rhamnose, 2011

After a crazy price rising year 2010, we have a very good harvest year of Sophora Japonica Bud, raw material for Rutin, Quercetin, L-Rhamose. But low price level only lasted for a short period of a couple months, following very quick bounce-back. Domestic demand was suppressed significantly in late of 2010-2011 season due to unbelievable high cost caused by seriously decline in raw material harvest. Domestic plants placed large quantity of orders in just several weeks when the new crops came to the market and price dropped. This kind of intensive orders immediately pushed up the price again. At the same time, RMB is keeping appreciating, inflation is China mainland is high since 2010. Macroeconomic factors also cannot do any positive contributions to promote export. We may face a high price year again. At least we can't see any signature of price decline until next February.
